QB - #11 Jordan Saak

10/11/97 - Sheboygan Falls

Jordan Saak, a sophomore at Sheboygan Falls High School is starting to know what it feels like to be popular in high school football, in fact only one team in the EWC has a quarterback with more passing yards this season than Jordan Saak, that team is Two Rivers, who are 1-6 overall! Jordan Saak is pretty much guaranteed an all-confernece spot! Jordan also lead's the Sheboygan area in passing yards! Jordan is a great passer, who puts fire on the ball when he throws it! Saak threw 2 touchdown passes against Manitowoc-Rocalli in the first conference game of the year. The Falcons won in a big way! Against Kewaskum, Saak threw for only one touchdown pass, but the Falcons won 44-0! Against Two Rivers, Jordan passed for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns! Then, Saak threw for 280 yards against Plymouth to help put the Panthers away, 18-14! Saak threw first place totals up! On October 17th, against Chilton, Saak threw for 180 yards on 7 of 12 passing, including two touchdown passes. The first, of which, was a 59 yard pass to #82 Ben Dehn! Jordan Saak has a bright future ahead of him, if he can just keep his arm in shape. I don't doubt that he will be all-conference in each of the next three seasons! Saak is one of the best to ever come through Sheboygan Falls High School.

11/08/97 - Sheboygan Falls

Well, the regular season had come and gone, but the magical arm of Jordan Sakk and the powerful will of the Sheboygan Falls Falcons kept right on rolling past Brown Deer, in the Level one playoff matchup at Zell Field where the Falcons won, 12-7, and then again against Mayville in a Level 2 playoff matchup at Zell Field, which the Falcons shutout, 12-0! But, for most teams there is a point where all good things must come to an end, and the Sheboygan Falls Falcons finally dropped out of the postseason with an 8-31 loss to Slinger. Slinger forced at least 7 turnovers against us, and we just didn't have our day. So after 11 games, in which we only lost one game, he had accomplished more than any other Falls team since the 1987 team that went to state and lost. But in game #12, the spark just wasn't hot enough to keep on moving. With an emotional ending to the season, the Falcons know that without the support of their fans, they would have never been able to get as far as they did! We had 5 players selected to the EWC All-Conference First Team. The only unanimous selction was sophomore quarterback Jordan Saak! The others include, on offense, gaurd Paul Bimmel(senior), and on defense, Interior Lineman Ben Smejkal(senior), Linebacker Adam Mielke(senior), and Defensive Back Eric Heidenreiter(senior). Players named to the second team were, on offense, Running Back Jim Olafson(senior), Left End Ben Dehn(senior), Center Josh Boerger(senior), and on defense, Lineman Josh Boerger(senior), and End Scott Hackel(senior). We had three guys who recieved honorable mention. They inclue, on offense, Flanker Eric Heidenreiter(senior), and on defense, Linebacker Joey Walsh(junior), and Defensive Back Phil Klemme(senior).
